Disclaimer: This is going to be my first and most personal blog post yet.
2018 was the year of the highest highs and the lowest lows. It felt like it was the year that gave me the best things in life that I’m most thankful for, but at the same time, it threw me punches I thought I couldn’t ever handle before. But, I’ve learned the most valuable lesson — to always see the glass half full. We always have a choice with our perspective. Today, I’d like to share how I turned my quote and quote most challenging year to a year full of lessons and personal growth.
Growing up, I’ve always loved beauty brands and up until today, I’m always exploring new products. From reading blogs to watching youtube videos, I knew where to get the best foundations (Dior), concealers (Nars), blushes & bronzers (Benefit), highlighters (Becca), lipsticks (Mac) and so on! In fact, I have a whole make up collection full of mid to high-end brands that I have been collecting since I was about 16.
“She believed she could, so she did”.
This quote by R.S. Grey is one that helped me a lot throughout 2017, wherein I, together with my parents, Jack and Ruby, built this new dream company of ours named LineaOrganica.
The dream was born January 2017, wherein we had this crazy idea of putting up organic retail shops all over the Philippines. We wanted to be the first ones to pioneer the use of organic beauty products and educate the market about its benefits. We spent a lot of time doing R&D and finally, around March, we were ready to “get the show on the road”.
Last November 18, 2017, I was invited to attend the Eye of Horus Bio Range launch, hosted by GlamourboxPH. It was an intimate VIP event held at Bondi & Bourke, Makati wherein we got to meet the owners of Eye of Horus and get to know their products.
Hi guys! I’m sorry I have been so MIA for the past month. If you’ve been following me on twitter (@mikeefederizo; shameless plug) then you know that I was in Europe for a whole month.
Just like what I did in India, I came there to check out beauty brands that are certified organic and natural. I went to 5 different countries–Turkey, Spain, Italy, Poland and Germany. I had only visited Italy and Germany before so I was excited not just to be on this fun “business” trip but also to learn about new cultures.
Recently someone left me a question on my contact page saying, “I’ve been following your blog for awhile now and I want to go Organic, but how to start?!” and to answer that — First, THANK YOU so much for reading. Second, I’m so kilig that someone wants to go organic. And third, you inspired me to write a whole post about it!
Deodorant is an essential product that we use daily. Unfortunately, we are unaware that they are made with toxic ingredients that cause harm to our health.
Here are the Top 3 Toxic Ingredients Found in Deodorants:
First, I’d like to start by saying thank you to those people reading my blog! I only started blogging (literally just for 1 month) but I’ve been getting quite positive feedback and that makes me so inspired to continue blogging and creating more content.
I am pleased to do this blog post in collaboration with Saule, aka Tales of a Salad. She has an awesome blog about health, travel and art. We are joining forces to write about self-care routines–I am going to be sharing my hair care routine, while she shares her skin care routine. Please give her some love by visiting and following her blog! 🙂
I realized I’ve been blogging for a little over a month now, but I haven’t fully shared with you guys why I went organic. This is going to be a little bit of a more personal post but I hope you like it!
